About the role

You might not have worked in the arts before but may have worked in a similar role
in a small business, a charity or voluntary organisation.

We’re looking for people who have:
● Experience of engaging and supporting young people taking part in activities
● Experience of coordinating workshops and an understanding of the
requirements of participants and practitioners in this setting
● Ability to manage and prioritise own workload and work with efficiency and
initiative
● A positive, creative, flexible, hands on and can-do approach
● A commitment to diversity and inclusion
● Are excited by GL4’s work and want to help make it happen
● Can have an understanding of GL4’s annual calendar (including shows and
events)
● Can use your initiative, put in ideas and manage your own workload

About the role

The participation producer will be reporting to and supported by the artistic director,
as well as working with the wider team.

Gloucester is a diverse city and we value having a range of experiences and
perspectives to make things better. We want our staff team to be reflective of
Gloucester’s diversity and welcome applications from Global Majority candidates*.

All the GL4 team are dedicated and passionate about their work but we understand
that work is only part of who you are, so we are flexible about working patterns and
ask questions about how we do things, to try and make the best working
environment we can. As this post is part time it may be that you’re returning to work
or balancing it with caring/parenting commitments. We’d like you to feel you can
have conversations with us about what you’d need to make this work for you.

*Global majority definition: applicants from Black, Asian, Middle Eastern, Pacific
Islander, Indigenous, Native American, Hawaiian, Hispanic/Latinx or Mixed-Race
backgrounds.
